    I've been off this site for awhile and involved with more local stuff. My 20g has been set up as a SW tank for over 20 years and has evolved several times.

    My 20g 1970 to present, I broke the glass durrting a move a year ago and replaced it. I couldn't stand the thought of parting with the tank, It's probably the one thing that I've had the longest.

    Squidd is absolutly right about the harlequin tusk collected from the indo pacific. I had one several years ago, it ate immediatly but, died a few weeks later. I belive that it may have been collected with cyanide which was a common practice back then.

    I had one for a short while that I caught in Hawaii. He use to climb to the top of the rocks ahd jump down on the sleeping fish at night and eat them. I wanted to eat him, but my wife said no, so he went back to the sea.

    I'd be happy to pay $1.84 for gas, the cheapest I can find is $2.11. Most places it's around $2.27

    Are you using RO water from a reliable source? You may be introducing phosphates everytime you do a water change.

    The fire fish will probably become lunch for the engineer gobies. They get quite large, up to 18 inches or more!

    Skimmer Question

    It's all about turnover rates. The more times you turn over the water and the longer the contact time, the more protien and junk you remove from the water. If you have a light bio load you might get away with the skimmer you have.
