also that pic of the feather duster, underneath him used to be all sand, but the purple fire fish dug it out...lol
i would have to agree with running carbon if your not already, if you run carbon like i do then you might want to go with a phosban reactor with carbon in it..

protein skimmers use bubbles to collect proteins and other waste products, those bubble rise...
they kinda looked like stripes at first but then as i looked closer it had hooks, i managed to catch it using a flashlight at night when he thought he was safe
ok, me and my fish thank you :) also will putting a bigger pump on the phosban reactor hurt the process? i got an extra pump thats bigger then the maxijet 1200
my protein skimmers pump died yesterday while i was at my family's house, now i dont get paid until Wednesday, will my tank be ok without a protein skimmer until then?
ok, stupid question here, why is the time scale of changing out the carbon so different with carbon in a reactor, then with the carbon in a bak pak filter
if this thread is not allowed im sure it will be blocked out or whatnot but thought that these videos would help some of the beginners of the hobby and to alot of the more experienced hobbyists, there are all kinds of vids this guy does and ive found them all to be very helpful...
i wonder if its possible to use pvc pipe to make the reactor completely out of the tank? i dont have alot of room in my sump so im kinda pressed for space, so to speak, any dyi ideas plumbing wise?
thats not a bad idea...lol why didnt i think of it? lol, i never thought that would work, but now that i looked into a phosban reactor it think im going to get on for that when the budget allows
ok i have a backpack filter on my tank to run carbon, it does its job but has negitive features, here they are:
1. when i pull the filter pads out to fill with carbon, detritus goes everywhere clouding my water
2. takes up space in the tank
i have a sump for my tank and was wondering if there...
