would too high of a flow make zoos not open up? i have one rock covered in them and the part that is the highest has a higher flow than the rest, and they aren't all opening up. is the flow the most likely reason for this?

i hear about people talking about upgrading there pumps in their nanos is this in the 24 g ones? i have a 12g and want to make sure i have sufficient flow. should i add a splitter, add a powerhead, or upgrade the pump? it is stock right now.
