I have been washing the carbon in a sock for the past 15 min now, but water is still black tainted. Is it okay n ow to put it in my wet/dry canister filter? how are you suppose to wash it and until how clean?

I think he should solve his underlying problem of why PH is so low before doing a refugium. Fixing the source of the problem is always better.
