i had a mushroom that i threw in my qt when it fell of the rocks. the qt had no lights and 3 damsels. and stuck on to the glass and grew pretty well.

if you are getting the 24 nano cube by jbj, a clam would not be good to place in there. there is not enough lighting in there for the clam. any kind of soft coral would be good like some mushrooms, zoos, leathers, etc.

clownfishes host anything. i have seen clownfish host feather dusters. my clownfish hosted hairy mushrooms, toadstool, hammer, and my frogspawn.

when you buy the live sand and the live rock DONT rinse it out with freshwater or the organisms on the rock and sand will die and they are needed for your tank.
