    FYI, you are dealing with the hardest, IMO, levels to keep normal in a reef system. It takes time and practice.

    Alk and calcium are functions of each other, BUT does not mean that the other is correct if the first one is correct. :scared:

    Also, keep and eye on the Alk and raise it slowly with the Calcuim if needed. :cheer:

    The only sure way to check for copper is to test and if so you would be best advised to RO/DI at a friends that does not have old copper piping, or buy RO/DI water from the store. IMO. Copper, even in small quantities is toxic to inverts and impossible to remove copmletely from the substrate...

    They just do not have the volume, in my opinion, to grow the pods. You could easily add a side tank on your sump and have a little pod heaven going in no time flat. Hope it helps. :jumping:
