    How not to take fish pictures

    This is not the kind of person I would want to have photographing fish for sale. The guy should get lessons on fish photograph. In the tank swimming is much better in my opionon than in hand, above a bucket. (This guy is selling fish on ----)

    Are you using a filter for your tap water? (RO/DI) You might want to get a phosphate test kit and check. A good cleaner crew should do the trick however, as previously stated.

    Drip acclimation and hypo

    Not a good idea. The fish are already stressed and introducing them to a hypo tank would only cause more stress IMO.

    Coralife ro/di problems

    Also, save yourself the mess now. Pitch the cheap plastic adapter and purchase the nice copper adapters. The first time the fitting blows off your faucet you will remember these words (I learned the hard way )

    Coralife ro/di problems

    I have the same unit. Had it for years. This is normal. RO/DI units will produce a little over a gallon an hour depending on water pressure. Yes, they make some presure noise and yes the blue tube is slow and the red is fast. That is why people ask if their water bill will increase. Some...

    To run carbon or not to run carbon

    AC = Activated Carbon

    To run carbon or not to run carbon

    Do not run AC for long periods, rather just to clear the water if it is cloudy. AC takes out trace elements such as Iodine (Clorine is a non-fish friendly version of iodine). If the water starts to cloud up polish it for no more that a couple of days. IMO

    Is this a good price on large acrylic tank?

    You would not have to worry about me paying that much. Ouch! :mad: :mad: I think you can do better than that. It sounds like a 150 to 180 tank? If so you can do better. You might have to drive a little, but you could save a bunch.

    copper

    Until the ick went trough its complete life cycle ... about two weeks. That is if the copper kills it at all. Hypo is really the way to go IMO.
