    Starting a new Reef tank?

sorry i answered the wrong question, i didn't start adding supplements till i got my corals. My coraline did fine with the water i added for the evaporated water. That seemed to have enough in it.

    Starting a new Reef tank?

U should have more live rock in it. I have that much in my 37. Just my opinion. The more live rock you have the better, unless you have an ugf. The live rock act's like a filter and help's to cycle your tank faster. Mine cycled in 3 days one for each ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.

What's the deal with raw shrimp to cycle?

I know you want to cycle with shrimp but i just stuck 50-lbs. of live rock in my tank and in a week my parameter's were 0. I think this is the fastest way to cycle a tank. But it's probally just 'cause i did and haven't tried the shrimp method yet. Good luck with what ever choice you take. ;)

    False percula clowns? breeders? where?

The easiest way to get a mated pair is to go to your lfs and get two, and make sure one is bigger than the other. That's how i did it and i have a pair now.

    Hermit Crab Legs Everywhere

They don't alway's switch shell's when they molt my blue-legged hermit just molted and he didn't switch shells. He did it during the night so i didn't even have a chance to worry where he went when he molted.

    I killed the Mantis!!!

I had one in my 37-gallon tank. Boy was it a pain to get out. I have 50-pounds of live rock in the tank and it was in the biggest one. Of course this had to be the one that all my other live rock was piled on. I did a freashwater dip and shot it out with a turkey baster. I killed mine fast...

    ID Please

I have something like that too. It has purplish tentacles but i've never seen the body of what ever it is. I only see these long tentacle's come out of the algea patch and then pull really small coepods back into the algea patch. [ August 22, 2001: Message edited by: hermit enthusiast ]

Any body here have an octopus?

But if you do get one i hear they can get very personal, even to a point where it will only come out if you are in the room. They can also be trained to be hand fed but with a beak like that i wouldn't tempt fate.

NEW HYBRED TANG!! I gotta have one!!!!

Gorgeous fish. Now only if my tank was big enough. I like b_ball's idea. Maybe you can breed it but I think it would require a huge tank to get it done.
