I know I wouldn't explain myself right. I can fit the light inside the canopy if I take off the legs. But then I wouldn't be able to get in the tank, not even for feeding. It is that wide, since I have the narrow tank. That is why I was asking about connecting it to the lid of the canopy.

I wan't done yet and hit the wrong key. Here is the light.

So far, I just don't think things through. I bought a Coralife 72 Inch Aqualight 3x150W HQI... It is almost as big as the opening on my tank. I sure didn't think about that measurement. I did screw the legs on that wouldn't work in the track, now my canopy won't fit, so....so I thought...

We just took the light off, again. No luck, unless I hear back from coralife, I guess I will have to hang it. Thanks for all the help!
