    clown-looks like bruise- in hypo

He is in qt (coming out of hypo)with 8 others right now. What should I do at this point. The other fish don't go back into DT for two more weeks. How in the world would he get a bacterial infection, there isn't much if anything in the tank.

KH/ALK test Salifert anyone use this?

I purchased a Salifert KH/ALK test and there is a bottle of alkalinity check solution in the box. It is not mentioned in the insturctions. I went to their website and they don't have anywhere to ask questions. Just wondered if anyone else uses this test and if they knew how to use it. Also...

I am not sure if I am naming this right. ( theronts) It is the ich bug after it hatches. Just wanted to know if you can actually see them. I have hundreds of tiny little things swimming in my rock. If that is what they are then I am glad I removed my fish.

    ammonia up in hypo tank

I still have high ammonia, about .30. I did a 15g change and the next day I did a 20g change. (in a 46). I read that doing a water change everyday was too much. Would it help to put some sand in from DT to help with some bacteria?

    ammonia spike

I hope I don't have to do that again. I have the water back in good shape. Now just have the keep the hypo tank ammonia down. Sure learned a lesson on using the QT.
