do I need to wait 24 hrs after mixing saltwater?

Thanks everyone. I will wait the 24 this time and then get it made up a week early from here on out. I was wondering if anyone had tried to put a spicket (sp) on a trash can or how do you get the water to your tank? That seems to be an issue (for me) when you have large water changes.

do I need to wait 24 hrs after mixing saltwater?

I got my ro/di setup and was reading about making my own water. Some say to wait 24 hours before adding to tank. I read a couple of posts that they just mix and add. I have two powerheads and a heater running in the tub. I would like some opinions on what is normal for this. Thanks

I got it back together minus the gauge. I guess since it was hooked up wrong, I don't have the extra part to extend it up behind the back where the intake line is. I sure hope that made sense. Anyway, thanks for your help and I will check to see what I will need to do that.

Okay, I only made matters worse. I removed the lines and there was a black skinny long piece inside one of the lines. I moved it where I was putting the intake and then I didn't get any water. Do you know which one this piece goes on?

The yellow is the waste, is that supposed to be coming out of the top or the last canister? This is how the previous owners had it setup but maybe it is not right.

I purchased this used unit with a tank. The gauge reads 0. The unit works fine, made me lots of water yesterday. I was so excited. I also got lots of goodies with this deal. Does anyone know what the piece would go to?
