If you are having problems raising the PH even after airating and extended mixing of the salt you can try dripping kalk. Sometimes my PH drops because of excess CO2 from my calcium reactor. When I get a dip in PH I just drip a little kalk and it always brings it back up.
Steve,
It is pretty obvious that you have a big fan base here at swf.com. Being a member here for a while now I have seen you online on the board quite a bit and have always hoped that you would share more of your secrets, knowledge and succes stories with us! I am very glad that you have...
Many anemones will get a good amout of their food through photosynthesis if you have enough light. For a sebae it more than likely would require a good amount of Metal halide lighting (which is the most intense style of lighting) to survive if you were not feeding it some type of meaty food a...
If it has cottage cheese looking stuff coming out of it I am sorry to say that is not a good sign at all. How long have you had the anemone and what conditions were it in (i.e- age of the tank, lighting, water conditions, has it been eating?)
Steve,
I would also like to know where you are finding the Deltec Fluidized Filters? Mike Paletta recently spoke at one of our local aquarium club meetings and was praising the fluidized filters very highly. If you know of a suplier I would apprecaite it!! attml@yahoo.com
Attml - I believe I promised you an updated photo of the two anemonies that split.
Thanks Thomas!!! Looking very good!!! Did you induce the split (i.e. heavy feeding then big water change) or do they keep splitting naturally?

Here is a diagram of rough measurements of my stand (they are fairly close). On one side it is 6 1/2 inches from the edge of the opening to the side and on the other side it is 7 inches from side to opening. HTH
CSRobe02,
Glad to hear I was a help. Here is a picture of the underneath of my tank stand. As you can see I left a good bit of room so that I wouldn't be too tight trying to get my bulkheads in. I had a tough angle measuring (now that the tank is on it) so these are a little rough as far as...
