    Kip!!

Kip, Thank you for the kind words!! For someone to get within 300 or so threads of 10000 (a milestone reached by only 2 other members) shows your dedication to the hobby and this board. It is a shame that the actions of others have put your participation here in jeapordy. I know that you have...

    SPS question...

A couple of things worth looking at. Are you running carbon 24/7? Softies can sometimes wage a little chemical warfare if they feel threatened. SPS also like very clean water how are your nitrates and nitrites? When it comes to SPS, as Dana Riddle says; "When you think you have enough flow...

    kents phytoplex or Dts

It does smell a little funny but if it it stinks very bad that may be a bad sign. Like it says on the bottle "Dead Phytoplankton will have a strong foul odor and should not be used".

    Anemone

Some of the more aggresive clowns (Tomatos, Gold Stripes) will often be extremely rough with a newly introduced anemone to the point where they will rip some tentacles off. I have witnessed this first hand with a couple of my anemones and I think it is the clowns way of finding out the anemones...

    New sebae Anemone

No documentation but I agree with Guy. I spend a lot of time in the anemone forum and have read quite about them and to the best of my knowledge and experience there are no true white anemones (as soon as I say that ten people will correct me) in the wild. Sebaes are usually yellow, tan or...

Show me your Anemones (and Clowns)

Thanks! My Rose keeps getting bigger & bigger. I am hoping for it to split. When I tie my new 120 into the rest of my system in a few weeks that may kick it off!!

    Stand support question

I tend to over build stuff. Your way will be fine! By doing it my way you have screws holding it together from 2 seperate directions whch just gives it a little more strength. Since you are going to be putting plywood on top your way should work fine - I am just a little paranoid when it...

    kents phytoplex or Dts

DT's is live phytoplankton and more benificial for filter feeders. Phytoplex is dead plankton and although it provides some benifit it is really just expensive algae fertilizer.

    Stand support question

I wouldn't notch the front or back beams - that would definitely weaken it. You could get by like this(attached top view) The center support will give you front to back stability. You may want to add an up and down brace on that one side. It still gets plywood on top right?

    My turn...New Additions!

Leathers are very hearty and easy to propagate. I would wait for it to acclimate to your tank before you cut it up, but if you slice (with a sharp razor blade) a piece (or pieces) off of the top cap section off and attach them they will become their own colonies. Nice additions!!:)
