it seems that all the corals I keep seeing are dull, brown or greenish... the ones that do have some color are not so bright.. where can i buy some corals that are BRIGHT.. anyone know? :thinking: i mean i saw finding nemo and thougth you can actualy buy those colors.. i cant seem to find...

wait, so i have a nitrate problem?? isn't that a bad thing? so xenias are thriving off it, while i guess other corals hate it?? :notsure: i know i will end up hating taking it taking over the tank or cuttin it frequently.. if i selll this online, will people buy it? is it a hot item?

listen, the quick and easy way is this... 1. put your saltwater in the tank (RO/DI or RO or DISTILLED). A. put the sand in. B. put the live rock in (UNCURED). 2. sit and wait for 4 weeks. 3. do a 5% water change. 4. add some fish.. cloudyness goes in a few days.. thats all!

Hi, my Kh is at 7dkh. I want to raise it a bit. How much baking soda do i add?? tea spoon? i dont want to overdose.. i have a 75G tank. :notsure:

i have xenias in my tank and they are looking real nice and growing very big.. do you guys usually cut your xenias and get rid of them? can it end up taking over my tank and fill everything with xenias or will it slow down itself?? i dont know if i should take a knife and cut it from the base...

isn't CO2 bad for the tank? i have been doing this method for about 4 months now.. seems okay.. only problem is i have to raise my calc and alk using some of the methods you mentioned.. quick question... i have RICORDIAS that just dont seem to grow for the past year.. do they need anything special?

ya i dont usually drip it in. i have an automatic water top off system... the bucket is 3 gallons.. i just add like 3 teaspoons of kalk in it and it comes into the tank about 1/2 gallon at a time when it fills up...

you can also put kalk with your top off water.... seems to be the easiest way.. also, what levels should the ALK and CALC be close to?

how much baking soda needs to be added and how often?

I put kalk in my tank with my evaporated water... my calcium is about 380-400. I want it to be about 440. The kalk does not seem to do much. -So, does kalk MAINTAIN the level of calcium, or does it help to raise it?? -Does it help control PH also? -My KH is about 7dkh. How do I raise it? thanks
