sorry noone awnsered, how long is he? while their small they need more food and nurishment to grow, i would suggest a minimum of 4 times a week, if you dont feed them enought they will slowly starve to death. its happend to me twice allready, i just gave up on bamboo's and moved on to blacktips...

like you said you can make it out of standard cheap PVC, the only suggestion i have is putting 3 clear viewing windows, im saying this because the silica at the begining of the pipe will need rechargeing quicker than the silica at the end of the pipe. good luck and post your results please.

what are your tank deminsions? most people just use small fans on their MH lights, my fans blow directly on the bulb and i have never had any problems with heat exchange. i will post you some pics of mine after the lights turn off at 9 pm. if your tank is under 30IN deep i would just use 175W...

blue linkias need at least 200 LBs of LR and the tank needs to be at least 6 months old, perfuribly 1 year or more. and you cant really say you have sucess unless its been in the tank for over 18 months PS. DONT LISTIN TO YOUR LFS UNLESS YOU REALLY TRUST THEM AND KNOW THEIR NOT BSing YOU.
