I went ahead and signed up, but have no idea what to do. Guess I'll just wait to see what happens after the game has started.

    60 gallon stocking ideas?

Do you already have the clown trigger? If so what size is he? As clown trigger get bigger they get pretty aggressive. I've seeen some that where so aggressive that you wouldn't dare stick your hand in the tank with them in there.

    HEY, let's talk politics!!

Good point. Just make sure that it's a prvate isalnd. I say all the time that somewhere in this country there is a shortage of stupid people, cause we have an abundance of them driving around my town.

    HEY, let's talk politics!!

The whole point of an island is to leave all that stuff behind. Get away from all the technology, and comforts of home. You guys should rough it. Hunt your own animals, and roast it over an open fire. If you pick a nice tropical island then you should have a large lagoon that you can snorkel in...

I reloaded for a long time, but I can get 500 rds for about $100 for pistol,so I figured it's not worth it. The rifles I buy in bulk, a few cases at a time, and end up paying around $100 for a 1000 rounds. Plus the wife shoots, and uses almost as much as me. The shotgun ammo is still cheaper to...

You people must be shooting some cheap loads, or I need to find a new source for ammo. If I take an ar, or sks out to the range that'll run me a couple of hundred. If I take any of the pistols theres a good hundred. If I take my hunting rifle that'll usually be about $50. When I shoot trap or...

    Responsable Fish Keeping

The best way that I can describe it, it seems he's more relaxed. He swims at a slower pace. When I 1st added him to my 80 it took a couple of weeks before he was comfortable, and moving around the tank, and eating well. After moving him to my 240, within a couple of days he was swimming...

Have you looked at the bengaii cardinal. That would make a good addition to a 55. They stay out in the open all the time. Midas blenny would probably be a good addition, as well as one of the shrimp goby.

Why can't I use a canister filter for a Marine tank?

I ran a canister on my old 55 reef, and also on the same 55 when it was an aggressive setup. I never had any problems. I see no issues with this setup if you have plenty of LR/LS. I do however prefer the wet/dry sump style filtration. Easier to clean, and I have a place to put the heater...

    Responsable Fish Keeping

From the responses it seems that most feel the same way that I do. I'm in no way saying that you have to have a big tank to enjoy this hobby, and the many fish that you can choose for smaller tanks, just that people should consider what the limitations of their tank is, and stock accordingly...

    Advice on stocking 55gal...

Some other good fish for a 55 would be firefish, bengaii cardinal, maybe a flame angel, gobies, and some wrasse species. Good choice in not putting a tang into the mix.

    fish list?

A single tang by itself should be fine in a 125, depending on the species of tang. Some good choices would be yellow, or purple tang.

    More than one Dwarf Angel?

Most likely in a 55 you would not be able to keep more than 1, without problems.

What other fish do you currently have in the tank, how long has the tank been running, and how much LR do you have? Sixlines can be aggressive at time's. Mine loved to chase my mandarin, when they where in my 55 reef.

    fish question

If you'll be upgrading to a 180 soon, why not wait to add anymore fish? I would leave the tank as is, until I removed the tang. Chances are the tang will be very aggressive towards anything added, since it has established itself.

    Finnally done cycling

The thing to consider with the aggressive fish listed is getting them to eat prepared foods can be a challenge. I would setup a q-tank, and use that to teach them to feed on prepared foods, while keeping your display disease free at the same time. The combination of puffers, and lions can be...
