Please do not quote me, I could be wrong but yes you can cycle with uncurred rock. The only thing that I can think of is your cycle will be longer. Also I don't think it is even a good idea to add cured LR after a cycle. I believe it can be done but is better to do during your cycle. I am...

    live rock # for 29

I found it at a message board that is set up for people in my state. I would suggest searching for something like that for yourself. I found a few offers of $4 and $3 a pound. I just went for the closest $3 deal and the guy didn't want to weigh the rock and just gave me a flat rate. I bought...

    Has my tank already cylced?

I think the big thing that confused me so far with this tank was that I bought this rock from a guy who lives near me and well I usually found posts about how you will have die off and that will start your cycle. Well I don't think I had any die off because he lives so close and we kept the...

    Has my tank already cylced?

oh...I am glad I posted a pic then. I thought that I wanted the bubbles in there so I have had the air flow cranked up. What kind of glue should I use, will ordinary super glue be fine?

    Has my tank already cylced?

what is the venturi?? Is that just the piece that angles the flow up on an angle??? That is also close to full air flow for the powerhead, does it matter if I decrease the air flow a lot, to decrease the noise? Thanks Bang Guy

here they are. Water is a little cloudy because I was movin the sand around trying to clean the sides. Also I noticed they kinda went in when I looked this morning. I am assuming they come out because of the light. You can't see the growth coming out in this pic.
