    Why not a wet dry in a reef tank?

    Wet/Dry filters work great. I would put them in the top 3 of filtration methods. The only time they become a problem is when people do not maintain them properly......

    I bought a Splendid Dottyback yesterday. This is my new favorite fish. They have amazing color. I have wanted one for a long time, but they are nearly impossible to come by around here. I only paid $19.99 for him. I'll get some pics later....he's a little hard to get pictures of. Anyone else...

    For those of you who have had algae problems

    Most algae problems on rocks are caused by not blowing detritus off of the rocks regularly...... Old bulbs and anything under a 6500k bulb will cause algae blooms......

    I have approx. 140x turnover in my 54 gallon bare bottom. (2 Seio 2600s & 2 Koralia 4s). Minimum for an sps tank should be around 60x turnover, in my opinion. Of course, it all depends on powerhead positioning.....
