long story short - i lost a lot of fish to ick with a poor assumption on my part. lesson learned.

well, thats not what this thread was about. yes carbon helps reduce toxins, but if you think that close proximity inter-coral chemical warfare does not and can not happen if you run some carbon, you are surely mistaken.

this is an old thread - from last march... unfortunately this fish is in a better place now. but yes, it was normal. some wrasses burrow in the sand, and some find a hiding spot and stay in a coccoon.

unfortunately that wont last long. these fish will quickly outgrow that tank. Tangs are ocean-going fish that need a minimum of 6' of swimming space. good luck.
