    Stupid Tangs and their ick

wait, were you trying to introduce not just one, but 2 tangs into a 55 gallon tank? a blue and what is the other one? the stress of that cramping alone will be a challenge to deal with.

What kind of Coral is this?

well i dont think its that simple, some xenia grows on short mats. we would need someone to post a link of species identification i would think. or a pro with obvious knowledge to settle it.

Evil looking crab. What is it?

there are many thousands upon thousands of crab species, most are still not even named in science. this is one, and judging by its black pointy claws, its an opportunistic feeder. this crab is 98% very aggressive and not reef safe in any way. pop it in the fuge.

What kind of Coral is this?

i thought it was a GSP (not green obviously). but take another look , its not on a mat. there are little stalks coming straight from the rock, with no connecting flesh. its xenia or anthelia species type.

    Hypo treatment? PLEASE HELP

im not arguing that inverts cannot introduce any pathogens or parasites into a tank, or even that ick cannot (remote chance) be in the water that an invert is delivered in (and as a standard procedure, one should always avoid transfering as little of this water as possible) but that the ick bug...
