aquamedic makes pretty junky bulbs, but i dont know much about the fixtures. i would not spend my money on that. look into Tek or Aquactinics.

yea i was thinking about iodine dip. i am not so sure that it is just picking off dead flesh. i guess i will keep an eye on them to see if continue to lose more palys from this rock.

hydrometers are junky and they are very inaccurate. purchase a refractometer if you are planning to maintain a reef.

why get another one when the first time around your mistake was obviously acting too quickly without a properly cycled QT tank. you say it was in the DT already, what fish do you have in there because ick is in your DT now and even if you get a new tang without ick, it will get it in your tank...
