bioballs aren't usually recommended when it comes to reef tanks. fine for fish only. i'd swap out that media.

400 to spend on tank alone or to spend on whole setup? Check out nanotuners they have custom nano cubes and aquapod and what not with improved lighting/cooling/circulation. I almost got the 12g w/ 72w PCs for like 250 but didn't.

Well after a dreadful year of the absence of a reef tank in my home, I am finally giving in again. I just purchased one of the A.M. nano wave 9 tanks. I have done both nano and large reefs before, ranging from 5g to 65, but now that i'm going to school a lot more and don't have as much...
