Hi, i saw one of my hermits come part way out its shell to correct itself. It appeared to have a sac of about 20-30 little red egg looking objects with in a clear sac. this sac was held towards the rear inside the shell. is there any thing i should do, if i want them to hatch? -oozy-

hey, i usualy give them 10 min acclimation, sometime i just drop them in, I would not suggest putting inverts in 1.009. you should continue to keep an eye on him, if he starts to smell its time to throw him away. just dont stick your nose right up in there or you will get a special treat...

hey. heres what i think... you bought a critter to enjoy, why whould you restrict its natural functions, this is also its only defence against hungery tank mates... anyway, if you superglue this little guy, wont the glue mess with the molting process, or just molt off all togeather? i would say...

i once gave "cpr" to a sick angel that stopped breathing, I just held it in front of the PH to allow water movement to pass through the gills, it soon revived and went on living... not so sure i would use air... -oozy-

i just made some my self, i hand chopped, but as i found out my "mush" was not fine enough. feed it to them and see how they like it, remember to freeze it, then give them a cube of it. -oozy-

hey suzi, thanks! I did this to keep him from jumping up on the tank, and scaring the fish. Its actualy worked really well. He used to jump from all sides of the tank, now he sits and watches for 20min sometimes. never jumps at the fish anymore!!! here is a pic, (iva already posted in other...

nope, dont worry about stagnant water. keep your powerheads off till the clouds settle, you shoudl be running your filter thought. -oozy-

its funny this happened to me about an hour ago. my larger one kept pinning the other to the sand, then bit its tail and dragged it to the middle of the tank. i think its just clown talk, for who's your daddy! really just think clowns are weird in general, fun to watch!!! -oozy-

snowflake yes with conditions if tank mates, if it fits in its mouth, its food. tangs, need alot of space to swim. id say no, espically to 2 tangs. remember 55g is still a small tank, personaly id rather have lost of smaller fish than 3-4 big ones. -oozy-

hey, actually, ive got a butterfly aswell with ich at the moment... honestly, its really not as bad as most make it out to be, as long as you take care of it. ok, so no QT tank is possible. (post holiday must!) 1-dont add any more fish till you have a QT. 2-deal with ich. "garlic elixor" comes...

some fish kept with triggers will have both eyes eaten out. they can still live for quite some time, relying on other sences. you will have to make sure they are not out competed during feeding time why you got one? -oozy-
