when I set up this hospital tank can I take 1/2 my water from my tank then add the rest ro water new ? put a couple of small rock in it from my established tank. Will there still have to be a cycle time at all, or if after a couple of days the readings are fine can I put the fish in it ? not...

I need to know how many psi come out of a power head so i can add on a check valve , so when I do a top off i can prevent siphoning out of the water container. they make small check valves for tubeing . I know each head is diff but is there a rule, thanks new fish
