hello my parents have a 20 gallon DT they got from my sister when they upgraded to a 75 gallon and they need a skimmer any one have one for a reasonable price? thanks

if you are really serious about doing this i will get "TURNING TIM" to check out this thread believe me he helped me with mine 75 gal DT, over the top overflow with 55gal,, sump/fug "from the basement" works excelent!!! just let me know or he may just find it before you respond anyways!

no it just quiets the sound of the draining water in the DT NO MORE GURGLING! my sump still has the bubbles and the noise but its down stairs so its not bad because i cant hear it

sorry about the glass! it was going good but these things happen unfortunately but with your ability with acrylic the sump will be done in no time

GREAT IDEA! i was in the process of looking for a good top off idea and came across this, nice! i will for sure go this route better then drilling a hole in my sump/ fug and very simple with the way you have the calculations thanks

by the way i honestly have just used LS in my DT but since i started my new sump/fug i used sand but not live sand and algae formed very fast on it and from what ive learned is that LS has a bunch of benifical bacteria among other things in it to help the system

12 or so? try getting more clean up crew also look into getting some mexican turbo snails what you have looks like what i had the mexicans cleared it right up
