like i said its only half done and i plan on sputter coating half the diameter of the cylinder with aluminum from an ion source to make the glass like a mirror.....the fixture will hold a 250 watt MH bulb.....
so my question is will the fan blowing down the length of the cylinder cool down and...
very nice pic BANG....it is cool how they changes colors..... that is one of the coolest aquariums...did you check out the reef tank upstairs and the crazy sea hourse?????
thanks for the replys..... what kind of UV does a 250watt DE XM 20k bulb put out???? a b or c????
UV-A covers the wavelength range 320-400 nm. UV-A is not absorbed by the ozone layer and is the least harmful UV radiation.
UV-B covers the wavelength range 280-320 nm. UV-B is more energetic than...
you think so??? why do you think that...(the only reason i ask is i would like to set myself at ease and im confused)
and yes the wall thinkness is 0.1377" thick...thank god that should help

i cant find tempered glass in the shape of a cylinder....i can only find pyrex in a cylinder shape...any ideas.....do you think 100% at 250nm will be enough?? any idea what the % is for tempered glass at those ranges is?
crap thats not what i wanted to hear!!!!!!!!!!!! the glass i have to filter the UV from the DE bulb filters out 100% at 250nm and only 15% at 350-900nm....im screwed
thats kinda what i thought....how about this....250 watt XM DE 20k on a electroic ballast......or if you have an example of something similar....or even a range ...
