Okay i fragged it there was almost no slime at all. Probably b/c i didnt cut into the stalk. After about 5 minutes the parent was fully open and the frag was open in about 15-20. All looks good right now thanks for everyones help

I got carribean rock pretty cheap from another online dealer. And i really like it. But i think the price you paid was way too high.

I say Clown is the way to go. But a sixline would be nice too. I was going to get one, but decided on another fish. They are very colorful and quick.

Yeah its already attached to a sea shell i put beside it. How bad is the slime. I mean I can't really take it out b/c of no place to cut it in. My tank is too small to take out the water with the coral

Okay i need to frag my colt b/c he is just too big. He is now 9-10 inches tall and 8 inches wide. What i have done is placed a shell next to the coral about 2-3 days ago. Now it is connected pretty good to the shell but I need to cut the rest off from the parent to have about a 3x5 in two...

You could try a lawnmower blenny. But i don't know how much your tank is stocked though.

peppermints are also a cleaner shrimp, they don't do it as often or some at all. I probably wouldnt worry about it though

Take a picture with you tank lights on and see what it does.

I only have one lps coral and i don't want to move it or the xenia, and the little clown has taken to the bubble for its home. I guess I will just have to trim it myself.

Thanks guys and gals I think I will frag it and sell it back to the lfs, I really don't want to sell it on here b/c of all the hassle of finding shipping, packing etc...

I had know idea this stuff grew so fast. I have had this stuff in my tank for two weeks and it's spreading like mad. I love this coral but how do i control it??? Also how aggressive is this coral?? Thanks

Well so far I havnt lost any fish.

All that happened was that your coralline algae got bleached due to you new lighting. Most of the time it will come back to the purple color. To help it spread put it by a power head or brush it so the spores will spread.
