I have a basic 33 gallon aquarium I just put a 150w Aqua Med pendant over the tank and I was wondering if this would be enough light for clams or should I have gone with a 250w? I was worried about heat with the 250w.

I had one that looked exactly like this guy and he was unreal. He ate some much so fast he ate himself out of a job.

I was looking at buying a new light fixture. I was looking for a combo 150w with some actinic built in. But all I can get my hands on is a 250w can I just swap out the bulb for a 150??

I have 3 stalks of xenia and 2 of them shunk up and look like they are melting. The 3rd one looks great nice colour good extension. I do have some aggresive coral but the Xenia is 8 inches away and the 3rd good stalk is the closest piece. Now is this maybe some sort of a cycle? I've never seen...

I use Kent sea salt and Instant Ocean 50/50 mix in mine and it seems to work well. The LFS doesn't have a great selection in my area so I find the mix give me the best of both worlds.
