when i got mine i was told they should be purchased at the same time and come from the same tank. I did that and they are doing great. the one that becomes larger will be the female.:rolleyes:

We have a lfs that has VERY large ones in their 1000 or so gl tank in the center of the store. It is almost like going to seaworld.

I also have heard that the carbon looses effect in sw quickly. That is why I am not sure if truly needed or not. Thanks for replying....:happy:

This is a fowlr and the water does seem a little yellow , not as clear as my others,, I only have 1 fish as of yet, (mostly because I cant make up my mind..lol. ) Could I put the carbon with the bio balls?? :thinking:

I just started my 90 gal. I got for x-mas. It is up and running and doing great. My other tanks I have been using hang on back filter mostly because I had them from changing from fw to sw. In my 90 we are using a wet/dry I never even thought much about it but should I be using carbon,,, if so...

I have a 15g eclipse in my kitchen and i love it!!! dont over load it and use live and and rock. Sometimes my nitrates will go up but in the kitchen it is very easy to do a water change. Current home owners are a coral beauty and a royal gramma 2 crabs and 4 turbos.

I did only FW for 20 years and was under the thought that saltwater was too much work and costly. I think the hardest part is the waiting and not going to fast. saltwater for 3 years now and each time one of my freshwater tanks becomes available I go salt.. Do your home work and take your time..

I got a 90g for x-mas and just got it up and running. question is the water running through the return hose makes alot of noise ( sounds like the toilet is running ) is this right if not what is wrong??
