My Diamond Goby jumped the tank last night and died! I had the top open, and I didn't think he would jump when the room was completely dark. I was wrong. Any suggestions for a goby that cleans well but doesn't stir the sand too much?
I want to add a Spotted Mandarin soon.
Thanks

Great photo!
Yes, go with the Kole tang. I have had one for about 2 months now, and have loved him! He's been extremely healthy and gets along with with my sailfin and other tank mates.

Many threads on how to rid yourself of it. Please do not use Chemiclean. It's an anti-biotic and you risk crashing your tank by potentially killing beneficial bacteria as well.
First question I'd ask is what's your source...
It's a 29 gallon new reef, good parameters...But there is the purple algae covering the sand bed. We have gotten a cleanup crew, stirred the sand up, but it will not go away.
Any suggestions?
My sailfin looks as if he is developing ich. I have a kole as well, but he has no signs. My sailfin is swimming fine, and I have a neon goby. Should I wait and see what will happen, or go ahead and break the whole tank apart and QT him?
Thank you

Looking back I should have...
My pH will not stay consistently around 8.2-8.4. I have a thin film layer on my water surface, but I adjusted my powerhead to break it up. Will this help the pH?
