    coralife metal halide ?

If you cut out the center brace, be prepared to either have a busted tank, or do some measurements and go to a glass shop and have a piece of glass cut to silicone under the top frame to connect the front and back wall of the tank. With it being a bowfront, the front cut will be rather...

My NC12DX setup and running, with pics!

Actually, I don't run any foam in my tank except during a waterchange to catch any stirred up stuff. Foam tends to catch organics and turn into a nitrate factory if left in the tank fulltime. My only exception to this is I'll run foam in the tank for about 4 days a month to boost my 'pod...

    bristle worms

Its my understanding that most biristleworms (especailly small ones) are not a bad thing for a tank, they consume detritus, and are fairly beneficial. Very large ones might end up being problematical though, depending on species.

Replacement Lights For A Jbj 12 Gal?

any 4 pin japanese style 24 watt pc bulb should work. The ones in the JBJ are 50/50, you could get a 10k and an actinic, or whatever suits you.

    24G JBJ Nano sucking air

if you use stainless, use high quality ones, and be prepared to replace them regularly, most of the stainless clamps I've seen will rust eventually. There are plastic squeeze type clamps available on other sites that are lots better than zipties, and of course won't corrode.

Replacement Lights For A Jbj 12 Gal?

the stock bulbs aren't all that bad. They are supposed to have a useful life of about 12 months. A competitive website sells the bulbs, as does nanocustoms.

    Fission Nano Skimmer

Mine never really was very efficient, I couldn't adjust it to the water level and it just filled with water, so today I took it out and stuck it in my 65 (just for the heck of it). I have a hydor-flo that sloshes up the water surface a couple times a minute, so I'm not really worried about O2...

    24 JBJ at 8 Months

not many creatures I know of will touch the cyanobacteria you have in there (redslime) that stuff is usually caused by excess phosphate, either in the makeupwater or fish food.

eclipse is really getting old time for a new and bigger uprade

the classic model only has 24 watts, the deluxe is the same but has 48 watts (two pc bulbs instead of just one) I agree with Charliewww, get the deluxe if you can swing the higher cost.

    Changing the carbon bags

if you can swing it, when it comes time to replace the carbon, try chemi-pure. Its pricier than activated carbon, but seems to work very well.

I love my new wave maker thing!!

is it the hydor flo? I got one of those before I even setup the tank, never used the nozzle it came with, I love how it works. I've heard some people say it reduces flo, but I think it just has such a bigger outlet that the water is less pressurized so makes less of a forceful exit than it would...

    moon ligth problem

did you conect the plugs correctly? Its been a while since I installed mine, but I think the plugs for the fans and the LEDs are the same, or at least very similar. Without seeing a pic or anything I don't know where to start.

    Cured or Uncured?

if you are curing the rock in a tank devoid of livestock, then by all means get the uncured variety. Just keep an eye out for pests, like mantis shrimp.
