I also have the southdown, bought it set up that way. But the fish I have are creating a horib;e sand storm, so I bought some aragonite (larger bore) and put in on top of the southdown. Much better. But still had some floating around. So in my overflow ..I bought some polyester fiberfill...

I am not really good at this, but mine a long tentacle anemone moved numerous times, even pulled it out of the filter, till it found a place that it really liked. Then it set its foot down and has stayed there since. My 2 clowns will not leave it. The LTA is HUGE!! measurese about 12 to 13...

My scooter blennies and other bleenies seem to love frozen food, but especially if I have garlic in it...they come right up to my fingers to take the stuff....they have a great appetite.You might try that....my 2 cents.....

Still......being cured, there will be some die off....I would put it in QT or rubbermaid for a few days anyway......smell it and test the water. Also brush (easily with a soft bristled toothbrush) any dieoff.......

I feel like my fish would starve if I didn't feed three times a day!! And they eat everyting up that I feed them. They get frozen and flake, always vary their diet. The LTA I feed almost every day.....and it just keeps growing!!!!! Maybe I am overfeeding, but my water tests are always...

Have you tried feeding your fish garlic with their food?????????

I feed mine krill, brine, mysis......seems to love it, clings to pieces and closes up and has fine dining!:)

You should be just fine. I did the same thing..kept all the water, placed fish in the water from the tank they came from, same with rock, and all corals... Everything was fine..

We moved a 120 g tank for about 150 miles, took the fish out first, and the anemones, then the rocks. Placed these fragile items in styrofoam containers in their oroginal water. Placed the LR in rubbermaid containers. After getting all live stuff out, excluding the LS, we then emptied all...

My tang, is happily swimming around.....but I noticed tonight that he/she looks like it is wearing lipstick! Was wondering if it's lips are bruised?? Or from eating algae and stuff from LR.......hmmmmmm......:confused:
