Love 'em! I have cc substrate, they do a great job of moving through that and scavaging. I can see them against the glass a lot. I also have a couple of large ones i see out at night sometimes when I am lucky... Never saw any kind of damage that could have been caused by them with corals etc...

lfs swears by using daphnia and dt's for flowerpot, and has some in a show tank that are a couple of years old now. I dont have any personal experience with them, but i do like them....

You get pretty much everything you need with proper water changes... Besides that, the only thing I use on a regualr basis is b-ionic 1 and 2, sometimes magnesium, very rarely iodine. do not dose what you cant test for.

The couple of times I had ich, I used this product called "kick ich". Works great, and lfs reccommends it highly. Perfectly reef safe, never had any ill effects on any corals including sps. You must, most of the time, treat the whole tank once you have introduced a fish with ich. Ich spreads...

Agreed. I run it most of the time. Black diamond is a good brand from Marineland. Just make sure you change it out on a regular basis...my changeout is once about every 2 weeks or so.

Iodine tests are inaccurate, no matter the brand. I only dose a small amount if my test reading is at almost nil. But for the most part, iodine is well replenished in regular water changes. When I do dose, I use the lowest dosage.
