    photos of white lunar lights?

I have to agree with Murph on this one. We have white ones on the SW and blue ones on the FW. THe blues look neat, but the white ones look more natural. I built the blue ones from part on the famous auction site. The white ones came in the PC fixture we have.

    overflow box

Can you post a pic? Without seeing it, it sounds like the u-tube goes on the opposite side of the bulkhead. This is to ensure you maintain a syphon. WHat does the internal box look like? To start the syphon, there are a couple of ways to do it. I use a piece of airline (clear tubing) and...

What am I getting my self into. Can anyone help.

Yup, Chuck. We have around 3-4inches of sand in our 75 gallon. ONe day a power head fell off the inside of the tank and was pointing right at the sand!! :scared: This is another good reason for a closed loop, BTW. THis moved a BUNCH of sand, nearly to the bottom of the tank. OUr tank had...

What am I getting my self into. Can anyone help.

Deep tanks are a matter of choice. They look neater as a reef, but yeah, they need more intense light to penetrate. I like longer tanks, where we can have coral but still have plenty of room for fishes to swim. I day dream of an 8 footer! It is like 220 gallons!

What am I getting my self into. Can anyone help.

I have seen some pretty elaborate setups on here with multiple holes for return and suction. I don't have any experience with a CL yet. THere is a bunch of posts about plumbing that deal with it and flow rates, how to build fuges, baffle placements, pump flow loss in different fittings. . . ...

    Bought a 125 RR today with stand/canopy

That puts everything in perspective. 55 used to be a big tank!! NOw it is a sump/fuge. I have actually been entertaining the idea of a 240 show tank. It is 96" x 24" x 24". :scared: I have lost all concept of reality. . . . .I don't think I would pass the deal you got on the 125, though!

    Help!! Nitrite Problem

THat is good to know about nitrite in a SW tank. I must admit, I am a freshie convert. My seachem test requires the nitrite test as a base for the nitrate. SO if I test for trates, I have already tested for trites.

    Help!! Nitrite Problem

That was my understanding as well. Nitrates are bad at HIGH levels. Nitrites are bad at low levels. Amonia is real bad at low levels. Bang, did you have a typo there? Should that have been nitrate instead of nitrite?
