    I'd suspect spiders or nudi's(both are hard to spot), rather than amphipods. The pods are more than likely just finishing off what the others started. Dip the rock and see what comes out.

    Help With Clowns!!!

    I have a pair of maroons in a 90 gallon and held a pair of false percs for my buddy while he moved. Both percs were dead about three hours later, didnt see what killed them but i'm pretty sure it wasn't my blennies or foxface. I'd seperate them quickly if I were you.
