yes, skimmer is a def... although i didn't use one on my 30 g for 3 yrs w/ no ill effects... i had a clown, blue dot puffer and two nice mono's in there.....

is that for real? so if you have a 300 gallon fish tank and a blue tang gets ick, you need to qt all the other 30 or whatever amount of fish you have? sounds weird.............. u would need like 20 qt tanks...........

me too... its a 70 gallon tall... the hippo is 2 inches... all the fish are small and hes very active, and always eats... sleeps in the same peice of coral every night.... 70 lbs of lr and ls also

I had him for a good two months now and notcied yesterday he has a little ick (few spots) The QT tank is being prepared right now and he will be introduced to the qt later tonight... Will my other fish get ick too? i have a pair of perc clowns, green clown goby, and a yellow goby...... i can't...

i live in smithtown, close by........... so all i have to do is put some lr on one side for a mini fuge? can i just put the rock in the screen holder thing? of should i place it in there freely?

just got one new sgipped for 55 bux.. its great... i'm a little worried hanging it on the back... does it put stress on the glass in anyway? i know they are made to hang on, but anyone have any problems w/ it? replacing my 330 penguin tonight!

sick!!!!!! i got those in my 10 and 70 :joy:

my hawian puffer only ate snails..... left all the crabs alone... plus hermits seem to know when to hide when the puffer attacks

clown goby? they are amazing... but small and perch a lot

put it this way, its like you are betting when u do this..... it may work or may not work.....

if your water quaility is excellent it can be done for a long time untill you have to upgrade... my friend (that works at a lfs) has two tangs in a 40gallon for 5 yrs now... although the hippo can stress pretty easliy,,, so i wouldn't recommend this... besides, bigger tanks aren't that much...
