Plexiglass is a trademarked brand of acrylic BTW like Kleenex is a brand of tissue. HD stocks acrylic sheets in 1/4 but I don't remember the brand but it shouldn't matter. You can cut it with a table saw or a circular saw - since you are screwing it the edges won't need to be perfect.

My water general untit took my water from 106ppm to 6 ppm at RO stage and 0 at DI. Very happy with it so far. I do think I will buy a full vertical DI unit when the media starts to go bad tho as I have heard they are much better and last longer.

Doubtful. Have a TDS meter? That is the best way to know if your DI/RO unit is working.
