crap...i just remembered last night i took the damn glass lid (i have lid on back half) off to clean it. that must have been when he took the plunge, because with the glass top on, there isnt enough room between water level and lid for a fish to jump up and over. damn it.

try doing water changes with red sea coral pro salt. if that doesnt work....add part A & B calcium and ph buffer. kent makes some.

i just found my mystery wrasse on my filter sponge in my damn refugium. he must have jumped over into my overflow and gone thru the plumbing and wound up on my filter pad. what a drag!!! i guess i should be glad he was visable or i wouldnt have know where he was and he could have been dead...

its a possibility they might have jumped over into the overflow. today, i just found my mystery wrasse sitting dead on top of my filter pad which is right where my water comes in from tank to the refugium, my first death...but he committed suicide jumping into the overflow. i'm bummed.

i wish mine would skim anything, 7 weeks and nothing. aqua c ev 120. any tips on getting this one to skim? i hav tried water level even with box, under box and above box. nothing. my tank CANT be that clean.

i have the red sea test kit, same as mentioned above, add drops to get one color, then add other drops counting them to change to blue, then multiply by 15. you want it to be between 27 and 30 drops to make it turn blue.

if you have any tangs. they should take care of it. if not phosphates can usually contribute to it. phos-reactors can control phosphates. phosphates can come in from not using ro/di water
