I bought some base rock as well today. I just rinsed it in saltwater and placed it in the tank. In regards to the coraline...I am unsure if it would cause you later problems tho if it was dry i would doubt it. But thats just my 2cents.

The razor balde with fresh water is the way to go. Windex also will cause a cloudy film to cover the glass and as you might think will have detrimental effects if not cleaned off b4 refill.

It has infested my tank . I would like to take it in to my lfs(which they have agreed to take in trade). How would I go about removing it from the live rock and structure with out damaging it. I didnt think prying it up with a butter knife was the best option but who knows.....

They have a suction cup mount on the back...Work with differnt locations around the tank. I have even read on these boards that some turn off some of there jets at night to simulate lower current .... :happyfish

Another option is to place a large net inside the tank for a few days . Let the cbs get acoustomed to crawling around, in, and over it. Then when the oportunity presents itself try to swoop/ drag..or whop it upside the head(kidding) to get it out of the tank. I have done this a few times...
