    coral beauty and corals

Dwarf angels are known for nipping at corals but CBs will sometimes do fine with corals. IMO 50/50 chance, sometimes they will nip at them and sometimes they won't. I had a CB with some soft corals and he never bothered anything.

    Live rock?

No, you don't have to replace any of it. Base rock becomes live from the live rocks. The LFS is probably just trying to make you buy more live rock ;)

    stocking a 30 gl?

Your tank is well established enough for an anemone but they require a lot of care, excellent water conditions, intense lighting. What are your water conditions and what kind of lighting do you have? For false or true percs I would reccommend the purple tip sebae anemone. This anemone is...

    stocking a 30 gl?

For a 30 gal you will have to have something a lot samller than a tang or a moorish idol. Tangs will get large and need at least 75 gal. Some smaller fish I would reccommend are royal grammas, gobies (such as firefish), and clownfish are always a good hardy fish. How long has your tank been...

    Arrow Crab

My arrow crab never actually caught any of my shrimp or fish but he sure tried to. If you have any slow moving fish they are definitely not good to have.

aptaisia ps i read the post about them up above

For a 55 you wouldn't need very many pepppermints. I had so many Aiptasia all over my LR, and I bought only 2 peppermints for my 100 gal and in about a week mostly all the aiptasia were gone  The peppermints even ate most of my large curli-q anemone

    Featherduster?????

Sounds like a feather duster. They can live pretty much anywhere in your tank, live sand, rock. I'm always finding little feather dusters on my rock and occasioanlly some close to or in the live sand.

    CBS aggressive?

If given enough space and enough territory then the CBS usually won't bother other shrimp. They are pretty territorial when it comes to defending their space, but I think in a 55 gal you could have a CBS with another shrimp or two. I have a CBS, two cleaner shirmp, and three peppermint shrimp...

    shrimp questions

If given enough room and territory you can keep CBS with other shrimp. I also have a 100 gal tank with two peppermint shrimp and I have a CBS with a cleaner shrimp and no problems.

    Something eating my curli-q?

I've had a curli-q anemone for about 5 months and its been doing very well and had nice long tentacles (is that the right word for it? ) but now it looks like somebody gave it a trim. The only thing new that I added to my tank are a few peppermint shrimp, do they eat curli-qs?

    scooter

They can often be hard to feed because they won't except a lot of food you offer them. How old is your tank and do you have live sand? The scooter blennies need to have a well established DSB because one of their main foods are coepods. Mine seems to like live brine too but mostly he just...

    Live Rock issue

I wouldn't really consider my rock to be a pet because while it is called "live rock" the rock itself isn't live. The name live rock is just referring to all the live stuff on it and inside the rock.

Black Percula get along with reg. Percula?

The regular false percs will get along with the black ones. I had a black and a regular together in my 84 gal I used to have and they got along fine together. Pretty much they are the same kind of fish just a different color.

    want more shrimp

You might be able to but CBS are very aggressive and territorial towards other shirmp and in a 20 gal there isn't enough space for all those shrimp, if you got rid of the CBS you could get the others but as long as he's in there I wouldn't put in any more shimrp. JMO

    30 Gallon

Royal gramma or goby, like firefish (or purple firefish). Royal grammas are very pretty and stay small, along with firefish, and are both a good communuty fish. I would also reccomend a dwarf angel like a flame angel or a bi-color.

    Clean up crew?

I would get a few more hermits too. Usually you should have 1-2 snails and hermits per gallon, but I think around 10 or so should be fine. You could get a cleaner shrimp if you wanted. They are a good member of the clean up crew and they have personality :D

    Cycling

Generally it takes about 4-6 weeks for a tank to cycle. Sometimes less, sometimes more. You can make it cycle faster if you add live rock and/or live sand in. Or you can buy grocery shirmp to help it cycle too. Even after all your levels are fine I would still wait a little while before...

    Clownfish

I would say no, clowns will fight if you mix them, especially tomatos. They can be very aggressive towards other clowns. And since the tamato is already in your tank then he has already established territory so most likey he'll fight or even kill an ocelaris if you add one. If your tank is...

    Liquid Ph buffer

I was looking at the LFS today and found a product called liquid marine buffer by Seachem. Its supposed to raise the Ph level to 8.3 within a few days. Anybody know if it works?
