I am in the process of bulding my own sump/fuge for my 120g and have some questions. 1...what type of filtration media do you need in your sump? Dou you have to use LR or could you theoretically just have the sump w/ the water running through and then pumped back up the the tank? 2...is it...

I also had the same prob. w/ my sump not fittiing. I have a 120g tank and a pine stand. I cut a 2x4 just a hair bit taller than the opening. I used a hammer to tap out the center section and wedged the 2x4 in there for peace of mind. You don't really need it, but the center will "sag"...

I just went from a 54g to a 120g. I have a cpr backpack skimmer and I think it is only good up to 90g. Can anyone recommend a good skimmer for a 120g tank. Possibly one that can stand up in a sump too. thanks

last week i went from a 53 to a 120g, stirred everythiing up in the process and I knew that the water would be cloudy for several days. The water still has stuff floating around in it, small particles of anything. Ii am running a sump underneath w/ LR my water id RO/DI PH 8.3 Ammonia .5ppm...

Is it better to put the fuge at the beginning of the sump or at the end right before the water gets pumped back into the tank?

yeah thanks, I am on my second sump, my 3rd will be one I make my own w/ at least 5 baffles to keep the bubble out, I AM SICK OF BUBBLES

I know that ick has a cycle and is only really alive for 6-8 weeks. Since I still have a blenny and a wrasse in my tank, how long until it is safe to add a fish? Will the ick always be present in the tank if I have at least one fish in it or do I need to put that fish in a QT for 6-8 weeks...
