Was wondering if I can put a clean up crew in before cycling is done? Why does my water look so blue? Lights? I have 24#'s of lr in my 24gal tank. Tank looks pretty full though.. is that too much rock?

I got more rock for my tank. Its a 24 gallon and has 24 lbs of LR now:) Something is on the rock, looks like a green cacoon. You can see through it. I got a pic, not a very good one though. It's about a inch long.

Just got my first tank started. :joy: It's a 24 gallon with about 6lbs of LR in it. I'm going to get about 15lbs more of LR in it eventually. I like to get a 50 gallon and make this my test tank. Havent decided what fish im going to put in it yet. Hopefully these pics will send. Hehe

It's a tiger morey eel. Thats what I found on the internet at least.

That's what it said on the tank at the store. I'll go back tomarrow and make sure thats what it is called. It had a yellow head with black stripes on its back. Never closed its mouth either.

I'm new to saltwater tanks and saw a tiger eel that I thought I might want to get once my tank is up and running. I only have a 24 gallon tank though. If the tank is big enough for him, what other fish can I put in the tank if any? Or should I stick with simplier fish for right now?:)

I'm a newbie needing help. I just bought my tank today. Filled it with sand first and then added water then added the salt. The hydro meter is reading wayyy too high. Should I take out all the water out and start over or wait a while and take a reading again?
