Also for your first fish did you just put it into the main tank or did your qT him also before placement. And do you treat the fish for anything and everything that might be wrong while he is in the QT even if he seems to be healthy? Would you be able to provide a list of the "medications"...

What's the prime? Ok I think I got what you are saying about matching the bag. How big is your QT tank? Cause I have a ten gallon tank just sitting here with a quietflow 10 or 20 just waiting to be used.

No my tank will be cycled with live sand and live rock. That's why I wanted to make sure of that before I even thought about making a move with fish while cycling it. But you didn't spoook me... that's why I'm asking a million and one questions as well as doing research and buying this book or...

Holy crap lol. Yea I guess you are right. I was gonna buy a second quietflow 30 for the wife's FW tank. But if I can't go wrong going big that's an idea then. Do you like the emperor pro? Cause I can go with a decent size bio wheel for my 40 that I'm gonna run.

Ok then with that said... what kind of HOB would be recommended? I like the aqueon quietflows for my freshwater tanks have a 36 gallon bow front and a ten gallon which is my sons.

I am in the same boat... well not really. I am starting a 40 gallon tank which eventually will have two false clown fish, a cleaner shrimp and a flame angel if it works out. Also going to be going with hang on back filter. Have gotten some really good info already just looking for more as well...

I've heard good things about these filters are they good or is it just hype? Really looking at this type of filter.

What is the white thing on the right? And what kind of lighting? Not sure if you said anything about the lighting for that stuff.
