    red slime algae

HELP!!! I have red slime algae in my tank. What is a good fish to put in there to get rid of it? It's not everywhere, just on one side. I don't want it to spread. My tank is a 72 gallon bow front with 2 small perculas, 2 small black perculas, 1 small sebae, 1 small maroon clown, 1 mandarin, 1...

    Clown attacking feather dusters...

That's weird. :notsure: I just bought a feather duster yesterday. After I put it in my tank, my Sebae clown started attacking it. Of course, I placed it away from where he hosts a large saddleback carpet anemone, but he is still going after it. Hopefully, someone will have a suggestion for us...

    Lighting for Anemones

The best way to find out about the lighting is to do a little research. Each anemone has different requirements. I do know from what I have read, the carpet anemone seems to require the most light and condi tend to need a lot less.

    green carpet anemone

I have a saddleback carpet anemone in my 72 gallon bow front and I absolutely love him. I will tell you from what I have read, they do require a lot of light. Right now I have a 36" 192 watt JBJ fixture with 1 96 watt daylight bulb and 1 96 watt actinic bulb. What would be...

    Recommend an anemone please

I have a 46 gallon bow front with a 150W power compact and my anemones are doing really well. I do notice that my saddleback carpet anemone tends to move to the strongest lighted areas. The reason I'm telling you this is because I have two black perculas and they absolutely LOVE my saddleback...

    Help, my Zenia is fading!!!!!!!

The Xenia I've had since sometime last year. At least six months, I suppose. The newest pieces are the toadstool and the bird's nest which I've only had four weeks. They're looking fine. The salinity is measured with a hydrometer. I know the nitrates are a little high, but I can't seem to keep...

    Help, my Zenia is fading!!!!!!!

My tank is a 46 gallon bow front. I use water that has been ran through a water purifier. I have no substrate, just a lot of beautiful green algae and coralline algae covering the bottom. Occupants are live rock, green mushrooms (just a few on 1 rock), zenia ( on 2 rocks), pulsating zenia, 1...

    Help, my Zenia is fading!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what is going on with my reef tank. Everything in it was doing great. Now all of a sudden my Zenia looks like it is dying. I have checked the water and it seems to be fine. What could be the problem?
