how about adding the sponge from my parents filter which is a 75 gallon FOWLR and things have been healthy there for a while.....or add some water from there?

parameters are at 0 nitrate, 0 nitrite, 0 amm, 8.2 ph

I have been cycling my 125 gallon FOWLR tank for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I bought 45 lbs of FIJI live rock and two damsels. One damsel died first night b/c I believe he got sucked up in the overflow box The other one is doing fine. I am feeding him every day ect. Salinity and temp are ok...

Right now I cant afford any more LR, I do have some dead rock that Im putting in and hopefully will get some live stuff on it. So if I got damsels now and the ammonia built up from the LR, would it kill the damsels?

I got 45Lbs of Premium Figi LR today and Im going to put it in my 125 gallon uncured. Is this enough to do the cycle or should I get 2 damsels today? I am using CC, had good experience with it and Im going to have just FOWLR. What do you guys think?

One more question Tim, as mentioned I adjusted the plastic screw on the bottom of the overflow that goes against the back of the tank so that my water level would be a lil lower. Is that ok....Now my overflow box isnt perfectly level going up and down. And like I said the tank may be unlevel...

Tim, the pump has been running for a full day straight now and it is keeping up with it really well .I really cant afford a refractor now.....maybe for xmas I will get one....Like I said one says 1.023 and one says 1.020.....Do you think that is ok.....Im putting in the live rock...

the CC is already in there.........and the 45 lbs of live rock is all I can afford at the moment but it will be uncured.......anyone else?

Im not really a newbie but I wanted to get some opinions. My 125 gallon FOWLR is ready to start cycling. I filled my tank, put in my CC. My temp is at 76 and my salinity between 1.023 and 1.024 on an Instant Ocean Hydrometer which I just bought. My parents Hydrometer which is old says 1.020...

hmmm I dont know what size pvc is gonna fit in.....the hole in the bulkhead is bigger than 1 inch. I called amiracle and they looked up that the 1 3/4 inch hole is 1200 gph and their 2 hole product is 1500 gph. This is for continuous flow overflows. There u-tubes are different and are rated...

I really dont know....my fish store said that the 1 3/4 inch size was for 1200gph and he gave me 1 1/2 flex hose that was a really hard fit over the bulkhead.....if it is the case and I already got the plumbing done.....would I just have to reduce the flow from the pump via turing the ballhead...
