how do scroll hammers split/reproduce? does this happen in captive? I have had one for over a year and it has barely grown has anyone on these boards noticed growth with theirs?

put it in nontap fresh water or di or whatever. Then put it in a dark place in the fresh water for a few days. this will kill the coralline and other things that came with it but the algae will die too.:nervous:

why am i able to keep hammers but not bubble coral? is there something special they need?

i have kept a mandarin over 2 years, had anemonies split, have tons of coralline, but the blue linkia i had lasted a week.:nervous: i will never do one again. :nope: o yeah and my take has been set up 4 years.

Are actinics important? or just for looks? what is supplement lighting? I have a 96w actinic and a 96w 10k. Is my tank only rated a 96w, does the actinic spectrum do anything? If I had a choice between 2 actinics or 2 10k which would be better? Thanks!:D :confused: :D

anything you can do besides lighting. also i read somewhere that corals like 6500k better than 10000k?

well its been over two weeks so i think there acclimated as much as they are gonna be. Also i was talking about replacing the actinic with 50/50 so there will be more 10k. If my true actinic does not supply usefull lighting for any of my corals. So anyone have anymore input?:notsure:
