    Black Ich....what to do

Let me first start by admitting the fact that Im a fool. I have a healthy list of fish that have remained parasite free for months. Last weekend I purchased a small, nickle sized blue tang to my system without putting it into a QT. BIG stupid mistake. On tues I noticed the blue tang developing a...

    Dicytoa the losing battle

Doh! It looks like I forgot to mention my corals. I have a few softies, one small frogspawn frag, and some Zoa's I've pulled the rocks before and scrubbed but a little over 3/4 of the tank is covered. It would be a "MASSIVE" undertaking plus there is no garuntee it would clear it all. My...

    Macros..expert advice needed

Im always worried about algae going sexual but more due to water chemistry issues. I run my fuge lights 24-7 and my display only runs 11 hrs on. I think Im going to stick with either green grape or chaeto. The feathery caulerpa seems to like to crash quite often so I'm going to avoid it. got a...

    Macros..expert advice needed

The main algae I am battling is the Dicytoa which could be considered a macro if not merely a nuisance. Its brown, grows in a blade form that splits into a Y. Its as bad if not worse than hair algae. If a piece of it touches anything it will eventually bond to it...including soft corals. Its...

    Zoo's right? (id please)

Search zoanthus and palythoa Basically zoanthus is a smaller version than palythoa or "button polyps". Zoanthus form more of a close together mat, the polyp remains smaller, and they dont have as long of a stalk. I rarely see good looking color morphs of button polyps and those look great. Is...

    Sun Coral

A few months ago I picked one of these up as a gift for my best friend. Other than having to get creative with spot feeding, its been quite easy to care for. He usually feeds them last, after the lights have shut down for a bit, to keep the fish from hijacking too much food. As far as tank...

2 headed hard tubed feather duster

The coco worm is a beautiful specimen...that is until you see what's lurking inside that tube. I've seen Synyster's and it looks killer. I hear they are a bit tricky to keep alive so we wish you luck and keep us updated on it.

    Help with tank please :)

If you choose to drill your glass, keep in mind that it is very easy to crack it. If you have any fish stores close to you I recommend checking if they build reef ready systems. They may be able to do the drilling for you. Check if they have any custom build tanks in store to verify the quality...
