can you grow calurpa in a sump?

ive got a fifty gallon sump and was wondering what it would take to grow some caulurpa or make it into a refugeum... im not entirely sure what one is but id like to get the most use out of that huge sump... pardon my ingnorance thank you

yea... 300 hundred sounds about right... i forgot to mention it comes with a stand so as I see it its about 100 for the stand 100 for the tank and 100 for all the goodies included .... are you interested? I value these fish more than anything especially because they are not tottaly my own but I fear that such a proceedure would do more harm than good at this point. I wonder if the stress involved would be the kicker, so to speak, for these fish. They are eating the garlic soaked food and visiting...

it may also be a dumb question but I was wondering if an anenome would help a clownfish in ridding ich. just wondering cause my clown doesnt go to the cleaner shrimp or the wrass and as of late has avoided her annenome. let me know Adam

no... not this tank...it has so many corals near the top and so much rock... its 7 ft long and keep in mind Ive already taken it down once and like I said it was near impossible... I could only catch the fish after 90% of the rock was out and 80% of the water. Thank you though... since ive...

we just moved the tank... and the temp is at about 80 due to the location of it... thats where the ick comes in... Im having a really hard time cause the purple tang is absolutely covered with it... looking healthy but covered. due to the size of the tank removing the fish is near to impossible...

well, thank you for all the replys... i dont think hypo would work... its a three hundred gallon reef. It would be so difficult to catch them. they are eaing well so ill try garlic . thanks again.

I was wondering what the consensus was on kent marine parasite treatment was. It claims to be unharmful to inverts and I need a solution to the ick that is plaguing my tangs. i would never add a chemical to my reef but Ive got a guy who swears by this stuff and I just want a second opinion...

I keep mine on 13 hours do you have multiple light fixtures? If you do... put your blues on in the morning, run all the lights in the afternoon, then only the blues in the evening.. (simulates sun passing over) If you dont... dont worry about it.

So I just got back from vacation and have put all the livestock into my free tank. I am so happy. Id love to show you all some pics if someone will just tell me how and I wanted to make sure to thank the guys who came over to help. coulnt have done it with out you. hope the livestock is doin ok...
