I bought a sea clone 100, can be a hang on or in a sump

its low even at day time once in a while it will come up to 8.1

I have a 55 gallon tank my ph drops to 7.8 or 8.0 i have 50 lbs of aragamax sand the LFS said to put some crushed coral in with it and that should hold the ph up higher does this seem right?

What do you have for fish in your tank for going through the cycle? i know it has nothing to do with whats in your tank but was just wondering.
