When I go to the beach I always see big bunches of Kelp washed up on the beach. If I were to bring some home in a plastic bag and stick it in my Refugium would it be OK?

IMO I think PC is better. I have tried both and I just like the look that the PC bulbs give off for tank. My coral seem to respone better to it also, and I have 2 anenomes that are doing great, one that was pure white when I got is and is now turning brown (which I think is a good thing):D

Thats what I was affraid of. My tank is 48" Long X 24" Wide X 30" Tall. I do not want to run MH because I do not want to have a chiller. I guess I have a nice big fresh water tank or need to sell it and get one that is maybe 60" long X 24" Wide X 24" Tall. Thanks :D

OH, I almost forgot. I am currently running 440 watts of PC on my 55 gallon with both stlye bulbs Blue spetrum and true Actinic 03. I will be switching to just Actinic 03 when it comes time to change the Blue bulbs as I have heard that the True Actinic 03 is bettter for the coral. :D
